This whole buff when a new skin comes out thing needs to stop.

Has anyone noticed that the last few times a skin has come out for a champion, that champion is buffed before hand? So pretty much everyone starts playing them, then they come out with a skin, it sells like crazy, then they nerf said champion a few weeks later.....That's really messed up.

Im sure some of you kids are going to pull out examples to try and prove me wrong, but the thing is it happens far too often. NOT ALL THE TIME, but way too often.

we're actually really sensitive to this—skins team and live design team are two different groups without any overlap, and our planning/release schedules are independent. we want to keep them that way too. it's better for everyone if the skins team focuses on making awesome skins that people enjoy using, and the live design team focuses on making an awesome game that people enjoy playing. we just plain don't have any interest in scheming.

I was talking more so about the recent ezreal nerf. Seeing how he came out with an amazing skin not TOO long ago, everyone bought him, his mana costs were reduced and now he was nerfed. Good to hear though. I appreciate the feedback riot. Still an awesome game.

It's a coincidence that Tryndamere got buffed before his epic skin and nerfed a couple of weeks before its release. The same happened for Vlad, he was unplayed for months and everyone cried for buffs, he got buffed and received an epic skins, just to get nerfed a couple of weeks afterwards. You can also add Galio to the mix...
Other examples are Shen, Malphite, Orianna, Urgot, Jax and Sona.
The only clear exception to the previous examples is Eve, must likely because they are currently reworking her model and didn't want to create a skin for her hold model.

Riot doesn't release a skin as soon it is made. They can hold that skin back until a champ gets popular. Riot also has the power to make champs popular by buffing them.

It's true. They are independent...
But you forgot to mention that you don't need to release a skin as soon it finished, you can hold it back until the champs gets popular.
They are doing the same with twitch. Right now, he is ****. He will receive a couple of hard buffs in the near future, followed by the ghost buster skin. He will also get nerfed after that.

The conspiracy belief of "Riot buffs to sell the skin" thing is just garbage. You want to know why it comes across that way? The champ is viewed as weak, so they buff it. It gets more play because of the new skin, it's determined they're too strong (hey look, data availability folks), and nerf it as such.

Stop with the dumb conspiracy ****. It just makes you look stupid.

I think your confused about something, PFE got released like 5 months ago, and THEN got buffed, about 2 months later.. and then nerfed 3 months later.. are these those "few weeks" your talking about? XD
