If I may, how can barrier not be ussed offensively? Could you not pop it then engage to soak incoming damage?

are you serious? everything you said is wrong and the idea of 'get out of jail free' cards is stupid. comparing PG to summoner's rift is pointless anyway

Not entirely true.

Heal gives you permanent HP, where Barrier is temporary.
Heal gives your allies HP as well, whereas Barrier only gives you a shield.
Health mitigates damage via Armor/MR, whereas all damage dealt to shields is treated essentially as true damage because Armor and MR do not apply to shields (IIRC).

Correct, numbers are being changed for SR. You could say the same thing about Heal, and it doesn't destroy the game.

By that logic "time" is a counter to barrier. Since you just have to wait for the barrier to expire.

True damage is countered by increasing your max health, heals, and shields. It's simply isn't countered by MR/Armor/DR.
