Just saying, the game would be a lot more fun for me if it gave you like, a 30 second warning on timers your team has earned. It is not skillful to add 5/6/7 to a random number.

tl;dr: if your team earns a timer by having vision of any objective when it dies, it should be announced. Inhibitors, buffs, etc - anything your team has the right to know about through map presence should be announced by the client, not players who are willing to do the tedious work.

In my opinion, anyway.
I agree with this, because "counting and accounting" aren't really good skill differentiators on objectives. This is something I'd like to add, but again, only if you have vision when the objective is taken (and it already pops the icon back on the map if you ever wiped the icon by scouting it).

I agree, when you do write it it can cost you by wasting time to type it and the constant chat of solo queue can push the timer right out of vision .

I think it'd be good to have a UI element showing time-till-spawn for objectives. A baron and dragon timer that let you know when each will spawn starting at 3 minutes, updated at 1 min, and 30 seconds-to-spawn.

Maybe something similar for visioned buff monsters. By visioned I mean having-scouted.

This way you will always know when the (big) objectives will spawn, but it doesn't give away objective captures until well after the fact.

Be careful with this one Morello:

A skilled jungler will set a timer if he even suspects the buff has been taken-- without having vision of the area.

To completely remove the requirement for timers may be a much larger, and perhaps suboptimal rework.

I mean, strategic timing is a skill ("he can move this fast, I just saw him at wraiths, he'll probably be at tribush in 20 seconds").

Although, it is true, that the 'accounting' dimensions of jungle timing are fairly dull, and detract a bit from the immersion.

A potential solution would be including a timer in the game that is both manually settable and automatically set if the buff dies within vision.
