No, this sounds dumb. Please, don't ever design games ever. Lore and gameplay go hand-in-hand, because while gameplay makes the game fun, lore makes it something you can relate yourself to or get interested in.

This is why Warcraft was such a good series (up until retconning started happening in Burning Crusade, imo) and this is why people love RPG games.

So you wouldn't play LoL if it didn't have any Lore?
