It would be great if someone from Riot could notify us what upcoming tournaments are taking place. Maybe not every single event because there are so many, but at least some bigger ones would be nice. A prize pool of $20,000 USD or greater for example.

I know IEM Cologne is coming up this weekend, but I think there may be more. It seems reasonable that the League of Legends website would have this information posted somewhere, possibly with links to the organizer's websites.

As far as major stuff goes, we make large announcements on the leagueoflegends.com homepage, and sometimes even in-game client takeovers. You'll always have quick access to watch the games, and partner organizations (like MLG, IPL, OGN, ESL, etc) will have more information about qualifiers and long-term schedules.

Prized events don't get displayed anywhere, although we're looking to change that soon!

I guess what I'm really asking for is maybe a slightly lower bar on what qualifies as "major stuff." Right now, IEM World Championships are announced, but the other IEM events whose winners go to IEM World Championships are announced sporadically (I think Singapore had one, but Cologne doesn't yet).

I know there is a huge amount of LoL stuff going on all the time so it makes sense that announcements cannot be made for every event. But a few more would be nice

Well I felt the same and so I made my own tournament for everyone, all the brackets have been filled but we still need spectators so follow the twitch channel and get ready for some quality entertainment.
