The issue seems to only lie with Radeon cards. I'm using a 7850 and I experience the flicker occasionally while playing.

Reports of 7900 series experiencing the problem too, but somebody said that they were performing fine on a 5700.

I also experienced a visual distortion that I have not seen before - seen in this image here on my mini map:

^^ VisionTek 7850 here. I get flickering during the game. Not unplayable but definitely annoying.
