I have a question, what if you want to make a team with friends from a different school?

We would like to treat this like a school team. It would be odd if your school had a basketball team where half of the team attended another school. There are a couple of cases where this would be ok:
1.) Your school is too small to have a team.
2.) Homeschooled students who want to play on a school team.
Case #1 would be ok if there is a program in place that unifies the schools (e.g an official eSports club that serves more that one school.)
Case #2 is fine. You would just need a staff member to confirm that this is the situation.

Two part question, obviously it would be a great advantage for them all to be level 30, but a couple of my team will not reach that level by the competition time. Is that okay to still participate?

This will be a draft tournament, so all members will need to own a minimum of 16 champions in order to participate. They will be at a disadvantage due to not having the masteries and runes that come with level 30, but they are still welcome to participate.

Also, are there many teams participating? All I see are two, both on this forum post, or are there many more? I just want to know if its a waste of time if not many people are competing.

In addition to the 2 teams that have signed up, there are about 6 teams that have emailed saying that they are interested and putting their teams together. We should be hearing from them soon. Also, we expect that more teams will be interested if Riot decides to donate RP for prizes.

Another clarifying comment: Each Team may have up to 2 substitutes.
