hello everyone, I just bought a new computer yesterday and I played league a few games and the all of a sudden when I start another game I get the Shader Model 2.0 DirectX error right before the loading screen. I know that my drivers are up to date and my graphics card supports the game... Is this a bug? or is their anything I can do? or do I need to take the computer back where I got it and have it looked at.. please help! I have also tried the window changes in the config file.

bump.. only time it works is if I run it as an administrator.

Thank you for bringing this issue to the Help and Support Forum! Experiencing a Shader Model 2.0 Error can be incredibly vague and very difficult to diagnose when encountering it for the first time. Typically, this issue is caused due to out of date drivers for your Graphics Card. However, if your Drivers are completely up to date, then the issue may lie elsewhere. In order to investigate this issue further, would you mind attaching your latest DxDiag and R3d Log here?

Move to the folder:
League of Legends/Config/
Delete the file 'game.cfg' and 'input.txt'
Relaunch the game, try to spectate someone.
IF that still doesn't work, move to these two folders:
League of Legends/RADS/projects/lol_game_client and lol_game_client_en_us
Delete both of them.
Then run the repair option in the launcher, by clicking the cogwheel in the upper right hand corner.

Click your start menu button.
Type 'dxdiag' into the field and hit enter.
When the new screen pops up, run 'x64 version' if that button or similar wording is on the bottom.
Then, hit the 'save all information' button and remember where you saved it.
Reply to this thread with the 'go advanced button' and upload the .txt file here please.
