The player who knows he is not banned next game even if he feeds intentionally, is encouraged to do this again and again. So, removing the bans, will for sure lead to "feeding" cases increase.
The Restricted Chat Mode will not replace bans by itself. For now, it will work in conjunction with bans while we work on additional punishment and reform tools.

Nice , so you get restricted to write anything. And then get reported for refusing to comunicate ?!

Seems legit! Also if I cant rage chat , I CAN RAGE MASS SPAM PING!!!

Millions of players don't chat much and just communicate through pings and a few calls of "mia" or "ss."

They aren't reported or sent to Tribunal.

Giving convicted people a better way to reform is a better solution than only sending them the reform card and the appropriate warning/timeban before permanent ban.

I feel that the new restriction system is a very nice step forward!

I really really like this feature!

The way I see it, if a player's input is worth it, they shouldn't have to worry about chat restriction.

If a player is worried about being restricted, then they probably shouldn't be chatting already if they doubt their ability to remain positive (or at least neutral) during a game.

Guys there is good way to make "bans" much more efficient.Instead of banning someone for x time, ban him for x games from any pvp. so that he has to actioly play that account for x games , but with only bots where he dont distrupt anyone. That would make this punishment much more feared, becouse culprit would have to actioly suffer the punishment and not just make an alt.

Yeah, because no one has ever been toxic in a co-op match...

what kinds of actions result in the restricted chat? just finished a wonderful(sarcasm) promotion series on pbe where first game jungler (who wanted this role) didnt agree with team comp and decided not to gank a single time during the course of the game. 2nd game a legit lost. and third game last and second pick were arguing and telling each other to leave, neither did so last pick decided to afk.

This sounds like a good idea. However, the games I most recently played on PBE are still some of the most toxic games I've ever played. While certainly anecdotal, my personal experience doesn't point to an improved PBE environment. Perhaps stricter guidelines are required?

We are currently testing the feature with focus groups on the PBE. After the initial feedback, we will apply restrictions to toxic PBE players.
