She's not good without high AP...... Maybe you're just wrong on this one?

Talking from experience, eh?

Probably shouldn't bring up something you know nothing about.

People that are good at this game (high elo players) disagree with you.

Building high AP on Soraka is the optimal way to play her. If you're gonna build aura items, you might as well just be playing Taric because he fits that role better.

Which is the whole point of this thread in the beginning, please give us a reason to pick Soraka over Taric.

Nidalee, still the best healer in the game

She's not OP in terms of "her healing heals so much" or her "shield shields so much damage", it's more of the fact that there's no situation where she shouldn't be using one of her skills when it's on cd (unless you're intentionally waiting for a mantra bonus for a few seconds) which, IMO is what a support champ is all about.

Nidalee isn't what most people would consider "support"......this thread isn't about Nidalee.

She's one of the best solo-queue champs already.

Again, who exactly are you talking about?

Top tier analysts and statisticians say that 87.52399999999% (repeating of course) of statistics are made up on the spot.

Bah new post for this.

Worst case scenario Soraka passive scratch math.

Assuming a 200 MR Corki before passive. Trinity force and Bveil as his only Health items.
Now first off 200 MR and no big health items is a HUGE mistake mitigation wise. So definitely worst case.

2478 health is what I came up with this Corki having at level 18.

He'd have 66% Magic reduction with 200 MR.
He'd have 68% Magic reduction with 216 MR, so the passive is giving him 2%ish reduction.

@ 66% reduction he has ~4110 Effective Health
@ 68% reduction he has ~4159 Effective health
About a 49 health difference. Which is about .02% of his actual health so little surprise here.

So really if this was a Corki with...a Warmogs and about 125 MR before passive we'd be in a different situation. Our MR stacking dude is well past the ratio where more health would add more and adding more MR hardly changes things.

Which begs the question if this is the 4 other players with Soraka not taking advantage of her passive properly. Soraka + Aegis = a lot of base MR. Would this allow a Tristana to get a Frozen Mallet to get a chunk of HP instead of an MR item? Maybe, the passive would certainly go further otherwise.

I could see Soraka's passive changing to 3% less damage taken. Straight up, all types except True. It'd be far weaker then the current version early game and with people stacking health. But better late game with people stacking MR. Also, it might just be an easier sale.

Another thought is that maybe Soraka's passive should be global like Zils, TFs, and Jannas. Inconsistency in damage reduction stats makes building with it in mind weird. How can I skip MR in my build for health and rely on Soraka + Aegis to be near every time I fight that Vlad that's pissing me off. What if Soraka gets picked off, or exploded early in a fight?

Still @ Shurelia. I've heard a LOT of people complain about Soraka's passive. I think they just want something more "active". Even if the numbers are fine on it people seem to dislike it. Maybe it's a case of Aegis vs Randuins here.
I'm not going to call it weak, but I think it can be called boring.

actually the top tier analysts recently did a new census and came up with 89.765333333% (repeating of course) you should update you statistics!

and he is probably talking about some random streamer or high elo solo que player.
