Caitlyn's defective traps

Well a while ago a lot of people felt snubbed that Riot gave cait an extra trap instead of fixing the real issue; her traps are worthless no matter how many she gets.

On that old post, someone claimed that if you build up the traps right that they are worth something. Not wanting to dispute this until I got a chance to try it, I said nothing.

Now I've been playing with cait for some time now and found some good builds for her, but nothing that made the traps worth while. Finally, what prompted this post is a recent game of mine where I was trying to buff up the traps as much as I could and it became clear to me that they are 100% worthless when Hiemer would walk over them to remove them from the field w/o so much as a second thought.

When one of your abilities, when no matter how you build it, does not even effect a character as week as Himer, you know that it is nothing more than **** that Riot published in order to make a quick buck.

So Riot, where is your QC? Are you so interested in making money that you have decided to rip off the consumer by mass producing sh*t but selling is as gold?

I sincerely hope that you take another look at Caitlyn and I don't know, get rid of her traps, maybe give her an attack speed buff , crit buff ability or anything besides those worthless traps. Then take a look at yourselves and think if you really want to continue your current business practices of overcharging for dysfunctional products.

I think the problem they ran into was that all the other traps already had the good ideas taken. Nidalee's armour/mr pen, Teemo's dot/LOS, Shaco's Fear/LOS. So Caitlyn's ended up lacklustre in place of copying another champion.

I think they're worth looking into. Maybe just make them scale with something so they do damage worth a **** given they're perfectly visible.

The Main Point of the traps are to Immobolize the opponents and secure ganks and get aways in brushes mainly O_o

As a trap made to secure an enemy in a gank, it does a poor job when compared to the other stuns, imobalizations, etc. If it were a 3 to 5 sec stun I could understand but 1.5 sec, come on, that is nothing.

I think you understand that with the exception of the traps, that Cait is a well rounded character. The thought of her being fixed must make you really angry. I don't know why else you would give my post a thumbs down. As if you thought making a balanced and fair playing experience was a bad thing.

We're looking at Caitlyn traps at the moment and I'd have to agree that they feel ineffective. We're going to be reducing the mana cost slightly and increasing the radius of effect to be at least on par with Nidalee traps.

This is coming soon. ^^

I'm sure you can expect the relevant legal persuits to follow.

And frankly when it comes to pure competition, Blizzard 'soon's like no other company on Earth.

What about Nidalee's traps granting vision to wards, but Caitlyn's isn't?

I hope your also looking at Nidalee in general too, and Nidalee's traps arent really that usefull other then scouting, and ward hunting, which in general useless in team fights, cause your probably throwing heals and spears, and traps can be activiated by minions, i think Caitlyn's traps have more usefullness then Nidalee's in general.
