Playing Kass in mid earlier against a Vlad. Not doing great, but keeping up. Level 11 rolls around and the team fights start up. Already got my sorc boots on, and this annoying Soraka stars silencing me out of team fights. I'd be glad to focus her, if I could just reach her.

Insert Moonflair Spellblade. Start wiping her out first every fight. Go on to easily win game.

i've yet to see one of the new items in my games. No one realized they have a place yet. Sadly it will be like the QSS and no one will get it even when its a direct counter to certain champs

When I read you were Kassadin, I thought this was going to be a QQ about how your silence sucks now. :P

I buy them all the time, especially if I'm playing a champ that has a philo upgrade. I think the main reason they aren't bought as often is they're not easily accessible in the menu/recommended items.

The AP one isn't that gold efficient too.

Moonflair is something I mean to try out, since it lets me take Sorc Shoes safely.

I don't think suppression is affected by CC reduction still. QSS will take care of that problem though.

Philo Stone into Eleisa's is quite awesome.

As it is, I grab philo for supports / tanks so I don't have to worry so much about lower farm and assist gold. I'd really love the cc reduction, but losing my gp5 makes it a tough to decide when to upgrade... Kinda like the old catalyst and roa vs new cata roa. Keeping the healing component allows me to rush a roa without losing the staying power.

My favorite tenacity item is the as / crit one. I'm getting this instead of phantoms now. For supports / tanks I still get merc treads. The mr on boots is awesome.
