I realize this technically belongs in the "items' forum, but Xypherous is a lot more difficult to get an opinion from on something that some others on the Riot team (such as Ezreal, yourself, Phreak, and Statikk).

Therefore, I ask you this: what is your opinion on Sword of the Divine, and do you guys have anything planned for it? It's one of my favorite items (Xypherous seems to hate it), but it has a number of issues, in my book....first off, oddly enough, the 100 damage procs towers....this is problematic and only encourages it to be used on champions such as Yi or Twisted Fate for backdooring purposes.

That said, on the flip side, it makes it an incredibly frustrating item to use in conjunction with "stacking" abilities, such as TF's stacked deck or anyone else who has abilities that "build up" before unleashing some burst damage---since it hits towers, the two become out of sync very quickly....and secondly, even if this wasn't a problem, we have no idea of seeing what "count" its on.

Ezreal agreed with me that it needed a counter...but that the 100 damage proc for towers was probably justified as the item felt "weak". I agree with his assessment, but am not sure what, precisely the item needs.

Are there any plans for this item in the works or possible tweaks/changes that could/need to be applied?

It isnt really supposed to be amazing value for money unless there are people stacking dodge.

But its been a long time since Jaxes have been 1v5ing whole team and with the Phantom Dancer change its no longer that usefull.

I could see them switching it to 25 magic damage per hit. It would suffer a little more from MR because of that, but that could help make it more consistent.

I like the 100 damage hit though, and I feel sacrificing an item slot for one that is somewhat underwhelming at times is a fine trade off for that hit later that makes up for it, especially while pushing a tower

Same here, I just wish it was more consistent, that's all.

I think as a proc item, it's not bad, but that active is super bad. We'll change it!

Should just make it proc every 3 attacks instead which gives it a 33 magic damage per hit overall. Would work much better for a burst on jax, vayne and tf.
