The Season One Championship Finalists have been decided, with the top 8 teams in the world advancing to the Season One Championship. Watching the event, fans set a new viewership record for video game competition.
Each and every team showed tremendous talent and fighting spirit, but in the end, it was Against All Authority (aAa) and Team SoloMid (TSM) who are now the first League of Legends regional champions of Europe and North America respectively. The qualifying runners up were gamed!de and FanaticMSI in Europe and Epik Gaming and Counter Logic Gaming in North America. Together, these six teams along with two finalist from Southeast Asia will advance to represent their regions in the first ever League of Legends World Championship, competing for their share of a $100,000 prize pool!

Fans were also in the spotlight over the weekend, helping create another first for video games. Over the course of the weekend, close to 300,000 fans viewed the Season One North American Qualifiers stream a staggering 1,000,000 times. At its peak, nearly 69,000 summoners tuned in to watch the event all at the same time, a new record high for any North American online eSports event! That places League of Legends squarely into the halls of eSports history.
