Yup. No one realizes that a little MR against Akali can go a long way. But, then again, I just dodged a game that a premade of 4 people screamed that Jax was OP and banned him, then preceded to insta-lock 4 AD champs, 2 of which were auto-attack wonders.

People are ****ing stupid, all I can say.

Being powerful and OP are two completely different matters. Powerful does not inheritly mean OP.

Akali IS powerful, yes. So is Jax. The problem is, EVERYONE is trying to A. build class cannony with a vast majority of champions, B. refuses to build items that counter some of the most devastating abilities of the champion and C. work properly as a team so that the people who EXCEL at 1 v 1 (Akali i.e.) don't have an overwhelming advantage.

You have to build at least two negatron cloaks' worth of MR to start seeing an effect against Akali.

Anyway, the real reason she's OP is gunblade. When it gets removed from Dominion (and they will), she and Jax will be brought down to a reasonable level naturally. =)
