So I've always been intrigued about the role playing posts, since I used to do it a lot back in the day, but either time or confusion has stopped me. My current big question "Is there a preferred/wanted/allowed ruling on summoner profiles. Like the ones over at, http://summoners.shurelia.com/ , like... how should they be built?

My initial want is to set it up more like a champion in the league. 5 general abilities (passive qwer ect.) with some decent background and what not. But then I look around and there are like a gajillion different variations.

So in short, whats the over all preferred profile style and character power curve?

Edit for second post: Ya but it does help keep the character under wraps in a way. Which I like, helps moderate power curves. But thats just my opinion.

Just go with whatever you want as long as it's not completely ridiculous or godmode-ish.

Just do whatever you want, as long as there's a counter to it, or if they give up a lot of their powers to gain a different set. For example:

My character, Jay, is unable to use magic of any kind, and anything that he touches that's magical breaks or fizzles. This means that he's often limited to melee combat, but is otherwise unstoppable against mages. But he also has a gauntlet that turns his disease into a mana absorption, which it converts into magic he can use, which is how he can be a summoner. While wearing it, though, he's susceptible to a multiple personality disorder that can be very chaotic sometimes and he's also susceptible to powerful magic spells.

From what you've said about the gauntlet, Jaykoboy, I'd say you're guy is just a teensy bit OPBROKENHAXORZ

Well...take it off somehow, or catch him when it's fizzling (more often than you'd think) and he'll be a cinch to kill, you just have to do it with, oh, I dunno...a cannon the size of a yordle?
