TSM had no real anti-carry power. Kog is countered by someone (normally a bruiser) getting on him, staying on him, and forcing him to gtfo. TSM chose to rely on Blitzcrank and Maokai + followup damage from other champions to deal with him, and they paid dearly for it.

Maokai getting on someone's face isn't nearly as scary as Riven, Mundo, Shen, Lee, Nocturne, Shyvana, or Irelia.

TSM could have countered the firstpick Kog'maw. They chose to take the risky option and rely on proximity based (Karthus and Vlad have to get within autoattack range to deal damage) follow damage after initiation by CC-only champs, as well as weak counterjungling (to starve the manahungry void slug).

Not to discount Froggen's play, because it was BEAUTIFUL, but TSM lost that in the picks just as much as CLG won it with the play.
