As for the login issue, I was first able to, but seems like threads are locking the Database access. Getting stuck on next to login. And.. others are probably trying to login over and over again.

Open the door and go play outside. If the downtime was 6 hours long, I wouldn't expect any fix for about 12 hours, as far I know, everyone needs sleep.

seriously riot.. u epically fail on the same patch twice!!!! u have no idea how mad i am right now.. just give up the patch is obviously bugged.. i cant see my money, champs, runes, masteries... come on u cant tell me with all the people that work there that u can honestly fail like this.. we all deserve a fricken reward for what u put us through
