Gemcraft: Taric's autoattacks replenish his mana for 7.5% of the damage dealt.

Since as a support Taric does very little autoattacking and doesn't build AD this passive is pretty useless. I propose it be changed to something more like:

Gemcraft: After casting 5 spells Taric's next basic attack restores X% of his maximum mana.

or

Gemcraft: After 5 spells or basic attacks Taric's next basic attack restores X% of his base mana.

If Taric ever needs a buff to his mana regeneration, we can look at this passive. But he seems fine. Doesn't need any changes.

The passive is perfectly fine imo, it just doesn't fit into the current 0 cs support meta.

That and it works on a risk/reward of gaining back mana and having more sustain but pushing the lane harder and risking getting ganked.

You're right, the passive is almost always useless for a 0cs support.

However, Taric as a whole is balanced.

Even if they just made it scale with mana instead of damage it'd be a lot better than it is now.

Taric one of the most self sustaining champions in game. send him top lane for some true fun XD

I think the passive is fine, all tanks are supposed to take punishment. Taric is a tanky support. For a 0 cs support, doesn't mean he isn't hitting minions just not getting the last hit. He gets mana when he hits champions too so depending on the partner, he can have really annoying mana regen, especially if the carry is harassing properly and dominating the lane. If not, he can hit them a few times under turret. It is not useless.

Play AD Taric. Carry the game with your ult and stun.
