I enjoy that the same ownership claiming system the OP attributes to a 5 year old is the same as that which I've heard described from capitalists.

I usually get whatever role I desire, regardless of pick order (Draft)

Then again I ask politely and make sure that everyone is on the same page so we end up with a well rounded team

Usually if I'm captain I'll grab a mid or top for the 4th or 5th pick as long as they're not a poophead about it.

Communication is key : )

Grabbing mid or top as first pick is foolish because you invite counterpicks.

It's better for 4th and 5th pick to take mid or top. Its easier to counterpick the enemy team. Therefore as long as they're not terrible they should win their lane
