People take revive because:
1) The map is smaller. You can return to combat quicker upon a death.
2) You get back up. You can do this, roughly, twice a match.
3) The speed boost is as good as ghost's.

Man... most people I play with don't really like dominion sadly... I'll never have a team for this :'(

Let me addto this:

the Hp boost from the mastery is tremendously good
- there's no "fed champion" in Dominion thanks to the increased gold gains and kills giving less gold than in classic, so dying, actually doesn't matter that much gold wise, but matters way too much, map presence way.
