Why are these propicks picking naturally powerful champions rather than champions you might actually have to learn some of the deeper mechanics of the game and that champ to do well? I mean this is starting to look like a theme that the favorite champs are champions that can virtually carry themselves unless handled by a new or very below average player.

Singed, Wukong, and Amumu can't carry themselves and are certainly not "naturally powerful champions". They all require experience and finesse to perform well with.
