I'll probably get downvotes for saying this but...I believe Wukong carries harder than Jax.

Most people just don't know how powerful he is if you build him right.

and what do you build on him then

because unlike jax, wukongs only cc is in his ultimate
and wukongs escape is sort of gimmicky to say the least...
