Ive stopped playing APs in the new map..they are not viable anymore. Bruisers and tanks rule the new Twisted Dominionline. :-(

There are no real "standard builds" in this game IMO. You can have core items (2, maybe 3 items your champ synergizes really well with) but the rest should always be geared towards your enemies from match to match.

If thats the case, I world focus on survivability early game since youre susceptible to ganks. Health crystal boots, into catalyst, into whatever builds from that but also syncs with your champ, then another catalyst.

cooldown reduction often helps keep your combos coming, I like movement speed quints on most of them for extra kiting potential. dominion style fighting has a lot of crossover with treeline because of the nature of the players and champions played so it's a good place to practice

Build Athene's and Haunting Guise, then just build tanky. Pretty standard for almost every AP. Now that BFT builds from guise, that's how you spec into more damage later.
