Diana is by far the best ap in the game right now.

You can also try Katarina or ap amumu.

AP Nukers. So LeBlanc and Veigar, You kill people in 2 seconds and they have no chance of even touching you

The most damage is dealt by AP Ezreal. Every time I play a successful game with AP Ezreal ( which means surviving the lane, which is pretty hard ), I always have the most damage dealt by the end of the match, no matter if my team wins or losses.
And just to throw the numbers out there he has a combined AP ratio of 3.65 + Low CD spells.

It is insincere to add lichbane to his ratios. Anyone can get lichbane.

I would. Big AoE sustained damage means they deal more damage than the bursters. It's just the bursters can frontload their damage to remove an enemy from the game.

They both have their uses, but sustained damage champs are better for teamfights.

Agreed with many here. Twisted Fate's burst gets pretty ridiculous. Also Kassadin's. TF and Kass are some pretty sweet assassins, ah tell ya hwhut.

Also interesting: AP Tristana. Huge, huge burst potential, but horrible, horrible cooldowns. She's excellent in 1v1, but not so great otherwise.
