As Wiz closes in, suddenly the insect stood upright, its form was made out but the darkness of the night hid its colors-



It was an unusual giant bug, about 8 feet in length with a hefty outer shell. It stands upright, crossing its unusual clawlike appendages which vibrate very fast. Two enormous maws at its head, a huge thin stinger...it was like this insect was abused and put together by many species yet it doesn't seem like a construct. Small traces of dark magic can be sensed by Wiz, the same found in the Howling Marsh nearby. It seems likely this bug might be influenced or made by said magic, but at this point it didn't matter. The eyes beneath its maws shimmer, looking around as if searching for any danger...

Not sensing anything though, it falls back down to its normal stance like a roach and twists and turns its head, its facing is away from Wiz currently...

The strike was sound as Wiz sank his claw just in between the carapace plates of the head and the back, the electricity coursed through the insect which seems to be suspectible to said element. It recoiled almost immediately standing upright as Wiz, with his claw firmly in its cavity, was stuck onto its back. He could almost hear a low roar from the insect, and the smell of burning as the insides of the insect slowly but surely became roasted. The ambush was swift and ended in a moment of a struggle, as the insect fell forward dead, the burns were visible under the carapace shell.

...However, Wiz's senses pick up the surroundings after the skirmish, there was more movement around him to the north, east and south. No other information was available as the tall stalks of the crops blocked his view.

The movement of stalks got louder, especially towards the south coming towards his location. The other directions were either slowly, or dimming out as if going in different directions.

...Then there was silence. All the movement ceased, and the air whistled quietly through the trees outside the field. The moon was still showing a bit of light through some of the dark clouds, barely through any gaps. Wiz and Pixie couldn't hear a thing...

Suddenly, the movement got insanely loud like something was charging from the south towards where they were! The rustle of stalks falling down was like crackling as whatever was to the south was fiercely making its way to Wiz! A low buzzing was slowly getting louder! Contact was going to happen any moment!

The amplified lightning struck down from above, the shell was a conductor and drew the lightning to it! The bug made a terrific screech as it was fried almost instantly, falling sideways dead. However, the only problem was the noise it made at the end, as Wiz heard more sounds coming from the other directions once more. Worse, the humming was the loudest at the farmhouse back the other way.

His cheek stung, but considering how big those maws on the bugs were, the little yordle was fortunate not to lose his face. As the humming became louder, it became hard to concentrate on any direction...Pixie behind him though saw some movement and the slow movement of a large stinger getting closer as if ready to attack his flank!
