Grand Total of 65% armor pen + 56 Flat pen = 0 armor. GG riot, test your **** before xin zhao 3 Q and dead combo's people.

100 armor-65%=45-56= -11 armor
200 armor-65%=70-56= 14 armor
300 armor-65%=135-56= 79 armor

penetration does't add up the way you think it does.

As far as I know, all they changed was how %pen and flat pen are ordered.

To be fair, flat penetration can't drop someone into negative values. Only flat shred can do that, and without Black Cleaver it's going to be extremely rare to drop even a base armour opponent to negative.

With that said, yeah, it's stupid. It's pretty pointless to build any armour at all unless you're going to go all the way.

Edit: Order is now flat shred > % shred > % pen > flat pen. So for your personal DPS only, % shred and % pen are identical in value (obviously % shred helps your teammates too, so is better).

Oh wait, just noticed that he just added the % values together. Yeah, that's wrong.

If your champ has 15% reduction (eg. Kayle, Xin Zhao), then the correct formula is:

0.92 * 0.88 * 0.70 * 0.85 = 48% of armour, then apply flat pen.

However, Wukong has 30% reduction, so his formula is:

0.92 * 0.88 * 0.70 * 0.70 = 39% of armour, then apply flat pen

... which is a bit closer to the values you have listed, though still not quite as bad.

It's all riots scheme to celebrate holidays that have past. November was blackfire torches to keep the Halloween spirit alive after October, and now cleavers to celebrate thanksgiving in December. Cant wait for what's in store for January. I'm going to be disappointed if i don't see an item that is an actual Snowball that has an active to one shot anyone it's thrown at. It should be deemed: "The Snowball Item"
