Gif, the Gremlin Shaman

He is armed with an Enormous Spork that he uses to poke his enemies and to fling the mob of smaller gremlins that swarm around him and follow him wherever he goes. |

Known for their affinity for mischief and for their habitual acts that many would consider naughty or petty, the Gremlins have often found themselves attracting the ire of those whose paths they cross. This, of course, has meant that few Gremlins have ever been offered the chance to take part in any of Valorans festivities, much less one as venerable as the Time of Snowdown, and that fewer still have ever been re-invited. Most Gremlins would be too busy raiding unsuspecting pantries, and drowning themselves in ill-gotten booze to care, but Gif isn't most Gremlins. Armed with considerable talent in runecrafting, and a superior intellect (by Gremlin standards at least), Gif viewed the other races' low opinion of his fellow Gremlins as a great injustice , and took it upon himself to ensure that no Gremlin would ever again face discrimination due to their love of pranks and thievery. Making full use of his skills, and his considerable size, he bullied the other Gremlins into forming a - somewhat - cohesive force, and unleashed a wave of terror upon Valoran that left no kitchen unpilfered, no keg untapped, and no banquet hall unpillaged. Roving bands of Gremlins halted any festivities they encountered, poking the guests with their dubiously acquired cutlery, until officials across Valoran were forced to take action. Unable to track down the sneaky Gremlins, numerous cities instead decided to strengthen their defenses. Locks were placed on Cookie Jars, and storage rooms, and spells were cast to both detect and ward of any adventurous Gremlins, but it was to no avail. Gif outwitted them at every step, utilizing his powerful magics to both weaken their defenses, and aid his fellow gremlins by inscribing potent runes that both slowed their opposition, and hastened their allies. The cities were left with only two choices: either Gremlins would be invited to celebrate the Time of Snowdown, or every pantry, and every cellar would be raided until there remain no cake, and no beer with which to celebrate. Faced with such an ultimatum, the cities chose the lesser of the two evils, and invited the Gremlins to celebrate. Gif was grudgingly invited to the celebrations at the Institute of War where he was offered membership to the League as a representative for Gremlinkind. Gremlin kitchen raids continue to be a problem throughout the continent, but the inhabitants have discovered that their mischief can be rather amusing, and that they'd rather have to deal with their company, than risk missing the Time of Snowdown celebrations. |

Gif gains a charge every 25/20/15 seconds that can be expended to either grant an allied champion a flat amount of armor and magic resistance, or inflict a percent based armor and magic resistance debuff to an enemy champion. Allies buffed in this manner will deal damage per second to any nearby enemies who have been inflicted by the debuff, and will be healed by an amount equal to the damage dealt. Gif can store a maximum of 3 charges. Christmas Cheer: Gif embodies the seasonal spirit of gift-giving by granting both his enemies and allies the gift of gremlins. On a more serious note, he utilizes combat oriented buffs to grant his alies powerful advantages such as a haste (His W), and damage reduction (His E) and an armor/magic resistance buff (His R). Naughty or Nice: all of Gif's abilities require that he chooses a specfic target. He does not have any auras, and two of his abilities have differing effects based on whether an ally or an enemy is targeted: His W can either slow target enemy + haste surrounding allies or haste target ally + slow surrounding enemies, and his R can either grant an armor/magic resistance boost to allies or an armor/magic resistance decrease to enemies. That big old sack!: Gif's R, uses a charge system to buff allies/debuff enemies, and to create a life drain effect if a buffed target approaches a debuffed target. |
