Wrong on so many levels. People do not stack black cleavers because of the passive. The passive will always max out on 4. Theres no point in stacking it for the passive. Riot knows this. The reason people stack it because it has too many good stats. Theres absolutely no reason not to get it when it has damage, health, flat penetration, and cooldown reduction.

Also take into account that it builds out of the best early game item in the entire game and you essentially just created an OP item.

All that was ever needed was to make stats on Cleaver unique.

Toning down the flat armor pen was too much. Toning down Brutalizer was WAY too much. Toning down Youmuu's....WTF are you thinking at this point??? Was it necessary to blow through AD casters and assassins like a truck immediately after they get good itemization? YES BC needed a nerf but to this extent? AND TO EVERYTHING ELSE, TOO?

They didn't even tone down the right numbers. Bruisers stacked it for health and damage. As an Assassin main I only EVER built just one Cleaver in my builds. Now I'm getting nerfed for abusing absolutely nothing.

Instead, how about you nerf the cause of the abuse, while leaving the people that did nothing wrong alone? And leave the perfectly fine items like Youmuu's and Brutalizer ALONE? Make the armor pen and passive unique, keep the health and flat damage stackable for the bruisers/Tanky DPS. If the passive's percent shred is still a problem, then tune down the numbers on that too, but it's already unique.

This way is just going too far and hurting the wrong builds.

Riot has never know how to do progressive subtle nerfs, is either Nerf Hammer or Nerf Bazooka.

True but the % Penetration passive is still 1 of the reasons people were stacking them because they'd get the 4 stacks in 1 or 2 hits depending on how many BCs you had. All they need to do is keep the stats the same and make everything unique. And if they feel that still isn't enough they should just raise the price a bit. Brutalizer should be left alone.

Hoping LVDP makes a return soon. And by soon, I mean not long after nerfing BC & Brutalizer so AD casters can be useful over the next few months.
