whats the difference between ap & on hit kayle

On-hit Kayle builds AS and on-hit items. AP Kayle builds Nashor's and then AP. Add a Malady if you're feeling spicy.

Wouldn't ap build malady over nashors since it has ap and the effect?

No. Nashor's is god mode on kayle no matter what the build. The cdr and attack speed are perfect for her.

Malady is really unspectacular without AP to fuel the proc.
