If you suddenly gained temporary godlike powers and could form a viable landmass to rule over. Would you populate your land with people who are all practically exactly like you, or people who are about as diversified as humanly possible?

people who are mature, thoughtful, intelligent, self-disciplined, and willing to take responsibility for their own actions.

race, religion, gender...there isn't much else that matters, except for the above-listed qualities.
