Still requires him to be right next to a target putting him in danger if using it against a player. If he uses leap to get next to you just to heal then that's just asking for him to get killed. Then it's not that much when you compare it to an adc with life steal.

That requires him to stand literally just beside the person he's hitting with his W. Stop whining.

In Riot's defense, some would call so-and-so's skillshot overpowered. You may say that AD Ezreal is too strong at level one due to his Q. Yes, it does immense damage, just as the attack speed buff makes him stronger, but the way Riot designed it is to be based on the player's skill. Landing none of Ezreal's abilities will drastically reduce his damage output, especially as AP. However, being good enough to land every skillshot will deal enormous damage. It is a skillshot that you can dodge. Some factors need consideration: Is dodging it an option? Do you have any Armor?
