Not a huntsman but I can tell you this, they removed it so they can try and add the turret destruction part of equalize.

Are you sure? Because the last time I used it, the turrets were included. The other team had two leavers, and we /equalized at least 3 times... which made it so that even though they had never actually pushed past the first turret in any lanes, we actually had 0 turrets by the end of the game.

I don't actually have any hard evidence right now, but because of that -2 billion gold bug floating around, and people abusing Equalize to give their opponents - gold as well, I believe one reason it was disabled was to stop it from being abused in this scenario.

And I know some of us were very excited to see this interesting new feature, and I haven't heard anything about it being scrapped yet, so keep your hopes high!

Thanks! I'd actually forgotten about that bug. Hopefully /equalize returns, at least in some form.

I'll go ahead and confirm that it will be coming back from what I've heard. No promises! But I've heard good things.

It will always be turned off shortly before the actual launch, to ensure that it doesn't leak into live.

Maybe we should add a sticky to announce this every time a new patch is close to release and someone is bound to ask this question again? Or lump it together with the daily maintenance sticky?

I was under the impression /equalize was made only for PBE... that's great that it's going live, too!

Well there's no real downside for it to go to live - if people are playing seriously, they probably won't use it. If they are playing for fun, they might be tempted - and if they are just plain goofing off, they'll probably use it a few times for laughs.

It shouldn't really cause any issues, I think!
