[Help] Item Builds for Nasus

I'm wondering what are some good item builds for Nasus. I'm a little confused as to how he should be built.

These items are a must:

aegis
merc's
sheen

Extra:
frozen heart/banshee's veil/stark's fervor

Some people go with Chalice, but I feel sheen, runes and masteries give enough mana/manaregen

as for runes, i go with
armorpen red
dodge yellow
mp5/lvl blue
flat hp quints

The runes are surprisingly similar to Sivirs.

I know that itis a post about items.. but for mastery points, what do you use for Nasus? defense or utility?

As for last item AFTER aegis/sheen/boots; Youmoo's is surprisingly good as it makes your ultimate a lot stronger and you top even more in the battle. Try it out =)

As for masteries: 21/9/0 or 9/21/0 I run defensive as I highly value improved cleanse and run health regen on quents and mana regen / level on both blue AND yellow. Veteran scars and doran shield provide me perfect early game.

As for starting nasus players who don't have the mana regen runes: Consider meditation. 5/mana regen from there is needed. You need to farm up with spirit fire and you'll suck if you can't.

-edit- personally offensive tree is hardly worth it anymore since they nerfed rally.

0-21-9 if you have mp5 runes, 0-9-21 if you don't.

First responder is spot on. Aegis, Merc Treads, Sheen, situational tank items.

I'll have to try out the Ghostblade before dismissing it. I already played a few games with Randuins. I feel like it's only a decent idea IF you a) have anothe team mate getting Aegis so you don't have to AND b) the enemy is primarily melee DPS.

what are the best situation items for nasus and tanks

warmogs any good, i always rack in the creep kills with nasus

You choose your situational tank items based on the enemy team composition. Learning what champions/abilities are going to be the biggest threat to you and how to best counter them is an important skill to playing any tank.

You should almost always have Aegis unless someone else on your team picked it up.

After that, I find these items work the best with Nasus:

Physical DPS:
Ninja Tabi for boots
Frozen Heart
Thornmail
Sunfire
Randuins (?)

Casters:
Merc Treads for boots
Basnshees
Force of Nature

Some people like Warmogs for phys DPS but I personally feel the items listed are more effective. Some people also like Guardian Angel late game.
