Veigar and his Q

Why does it have a 8/7/6/5/4 sec cooldown and not a 4 second cooldown? It's very alike to Annie's Q and the 4 seconds would hardly make a real difference apart from improving his lane presence - which is horrid - and would most likely grant him no more than 10-20 AP on average - which he could use, having in mind his current balance state comparing him to other AP burst damage squishies.

Thoughts?

Probably the same reason Nasus' Q has CD decrease per level. To keep you from uberfarming early game...

Funny, because that's what both of them need to do.

Hardly any Veigar would use it for "lane presence" they'd just farm even more AP.

The system in place already works IMO. Not like he uses it to actually deal damage before level 6 right?

I understand Nasus, since his Q adds 3 damage to his Q.
Veigar gets 0.6 damage to his Q, 1 damage to his meteor and 1.2 damage to his ult.
That's a rather big difference, is it not?
... On an offtopic note, I wonder what Riot is planning for Nasus.

No, no it isn't. 3 isn't much different than 2.8. Math wiz.

Are you suggesting Veigar needs a 0.2 AP ratio buff to one, two(0.1 and 0.1) or three skills(0.1 0.1 and 0.05) ?
