I've been thinking about this, but is skarner best built like chu8 maokai?
If you don't know what this build consists of its:
Sorc Shoes
Rod of Ages
Trinity Force
Rabbadon's
Moonflair Spellblade
Banshees Veil.

Any thoughts?

If your getting that much AP you want to switch the Triforce with a Lichbane.

But yea a Chu8 style is effective.

Lichbane will do more damage with a build like that, but the utility from the other stats on Trinity is more effective, I'd say. Attack speed for passive, more movespeed to keep up with people, and Phage slow proc. Another problem with a build like this is that Skarner isn't really a burst champ. Maokai has some pretty ridiculous burst damage with his full combo, but Skarner has to slug it out, and this build has zero armor items. Maokai can make do without because he has his ult that provides 20% damage reduction, but Skarner doesn't have that.
