I have not seen anyone offer this problem yet, only error code 950s. I am new to the game and just trying to patch it from nothing currently and it always hangs up at "Retrieving version information" and gives me that log.

Help...

Edit: I have attempted the manual patches but not quite sure how to do them properly...and not sure it'd help.

Umm, I -did- try the above solution, as I said. Also my IE settings are set as low as possible.

Edit: And am running XP with the folder located in the C drive. Ended up copying a friends fully patched copy but it still gives the same error.

I don't have any firewall programs running, no - my port forwarding is acting a bit funny on my home connection but at the place I was originally playing the network had the ports open.

Edit: Heh, if I can't get it working in a couple hours may just try formatting and see if it'll work from a clean system - and watch it be some router issue or something and still not work >.>
