The snow terrain is too bright for me
I hate to break the christmasy and snowy mood, but it really hurts my head after each game. Can someone tell me how to revert back to the autumn terrain?

I'd guess that you'd just have to lower your gamma settings for the duration of the snowdown showdown.

There's no way to revert it back to the original map, although you can play dominion in the meantime! Dominion doesn't use a winter map, so you should be fine there!
