Do you know when item generation stops?

i.e What is the total amount of items you are creating for the game.

I want an item called the Divine Donkey. It's a stubborn worker but a fine lover. A mule that emits an aura that gives you a filling of the supposed 5th element. He tells you jokes and grants you companionship as you jungle or solo lane.

Actually, I am sort of interested in knowing the answer to this as well but not really pressing for me.
