Alot are, but not all. My best friend recently got a tattoo of his newborn daughter on his right shoulder-blade. That doesn't seem very tacky or ugly.

Tattoos are stupid if you don't put any thought into them. But they can be great if you think about what your getting.

It looks cool!!

Howevever when I'm getting my tats it's only to represent something like old mate said about te Bacardi bat..

I have elephants to represent family,
My grand fathers war numbers (ww2)
And an Australian design!

Give yourself AT LEAST 3 months to think about ur tats!! Get a friend to draw it On you first? I always do!!

I've been wanting another tattoo for a while now. Its one of those things where you just really have to think about it and get something meaningful.

I've got 6 right now, its actually pretty addicting.

I was incredibly shocked myself. I can totally understand why he did, though.. he's just been doing nothing but that for the longest time and I suppose it gets tedious after a while.

Though it definitely isn't the end of the world for the band - losing Portnoy will probably have a pretty big impact for a while until he decides to return.
