1. CV him. Your support should be doing that anyways.
2. Counter jungling has 2 points: Jungle Ganking and XP/Gold Denial. Shaco is only really good at Jungle ganking, his ability to XP/Gold Deny is limited to smite. Conversely, if you get the jump on Shaco early, it's pretty easy to gank him. Shaco doing blue? Wait for the boxes to trigger on the golem, then walk in, try to smite steal and kill Shaco. At level 1, all he has are boxes. He does not have Deceive yet, so he has no escape aside from summoners. He's pretty blue dependent so he can spam boxes. If he can't spam boxes, jungle shaco is ****.

the boxes quite frequently will fear their targets out of thei range, just walk carefully at the suspected area the boxes are in and then move back when they spring, all the boxes then die after a few seconds wasting over a minute of shaco's time he could have used to earnt gold/exp

As far as the jack in the boxes in the wraith bush, I usually ask my mid to chill with me their til about 1:45, just to make sure. If the mid is someone like Lux or Orianna, they both have abilities they can check the bush with without having to take damage.

meh shaco is easy to deal with.

he's a one trick pony. if he tries to box your red get the nearby lanes to mess with him early game. if he tries to box his own red go for an invade since he has **** fighting ability at level 1.

One way to counter Shaco that has always worked for me:

i choose a tanky jungler with lots of cc--malph, naut, mao

invade with 4 teamates into his blue at the start-- he'll need that to jungle quickly and well

have the last teammate( top if blue team, support if purple team) guard your blue and check for another counter jungle

Come up through the curved brush near mid and go through by wolves then jump him--- since he puts his boxes in the corner he wont have any defense-- focus him first then any others u can kill (CV WILL HELP A LOT)

usually you should win the fight and just take his blue leaving no minigolems

consistently go back whenever the camp respawns( u have to time it- blue and red respawn every 5 minutes) on the same route with a ward if possible and try to steal it by timing to use your smite when he's fighting it or if hes gone


IF SHACO IS COUNTER JUNGLING, get lots of wards( sight is the ultimate advantage) and be ready to get to your red/blue whenever it respawns try to get it and/or wait in the bush near them and steal it then kill him

it can be risky, so if possible have a teammate with you

but unfortunately if shaco is fed or very farmed/ doing well, then he usually can't be stopped-- as with many other champions such as trynd, akali, noc, udyr, gp, etc.-- so just surrender or do what you want, but you will probably lose-- therefore, the best counter to shaco is to stop him from starting because this is shaco's weakest point, at level 1- he is extremely squishy and with the help of teammates you can kill him easily-- TRY TO CATCH HIM OFF GUARD

Do wolves, your blue then go to his red.

Why bother trying to shut down his jungle? Just let him do his thing in a vain attempt to be useful. Then revel in the 4v5 past 20 minutes and ask yourself why anyone would ever play Shaco.

Yeah, don't try to engage early. One thing you should do is to try to keep your health up as much as possible when you're jungling, try to start cloth + 5 or something like that. Also, try to cover all the entrances into the jungle.
