Is level factored into match making?
I feel that steeper level curve might help to make matchmaking much better--anyone who's level 20 will clearly have spent much more time mucking around in LoL compared to level 15, even if they have similar win-lost ratio (hence ELO). This way, matchmaking can really see how familiar you should be with the game.

I would like to have a lv30 as a partner with 500+ games, instead of a lv30 with only 100+ games. It would not make any sense to lv up easier if you are just playing for fun (casual player) then levels should not be a problem. Now if you are concerned about levels and want to match up with better players, keep playing.

But I think you are a casual player

As a note, I have friends who are already level 25. How many days has it been? They'll be 30 in the next day or two, tops.

Yes, matchmaking takes level into account. There is a concrete bonus added to your elo based on your elo.
