Im looking around for strong AP builds.
The best one I can come up (leaving a slot for boots) gets me around 610 AP assuming the champ has 1000ish mana at level 18.

archangel's staff

obviously this is a best case scenario build and not a I'm going to get all of this in every game, unless you're heimer or can farm at low levels rediculously fast.

do archangel staffs stack?
or what alternatives do you have or suggest. How can I get my end game AP higher?
(without taking into account runes or masteries)

Veigar in theory can get infinite AP.

Archangel's 3% mana -> AP passive stacks, but not the mana gain per spell cast.

On a char with no AP boosting ability, the max AP you could get from items would be 5 archangels staves and a zonyas.

Edit: different champs require different builds, so idk what to tell ya

The Archangel stacking is the way to get the highest AP. Although it's expensive and I don't even think it's really worth it. I have seen a Heimer bust 1000 AP that way though.

Saw a hiemer the other day with 5 AA staffs and one zhyonas and he had 998AP
