Good counters to morde:

Garen
Rumble
WW

you need someone that can take his aoe dmg and have more dmg sustain/regen.

Garen is probably one of the best counters to morde becaues of his silence then spin (so morde can't do anything to build shield up).

General Tips: Stay away from minions, so he has to choose between you and minions.

Use long range to harass him. Especially if he is tower hugging.

Use CC on him because he has none.

If you keep encountering him in Mid lane and you've been using a squishy champion, maybe its time to change for something better. Google search "Counter Mordekaiser", you'll probably find more advise on the issue.

If you let him farm his Revolver he will most surly win his lane if you initiate on him so then it just becomes a farm fest. You have to shut him down early and hard. If you can zone him poke him get an early advantage but don't go for the kill. Don't let him get a revolver on his first back. Just zone him out and make him lose farm and experience. Get an item advantage and go for the kill when you come back.

get magic resist espically banshee's viell or that one hat thing that has magic resist+removes debluff's like his ulti cant really remember what its called something quick silver?

Level 1 his E ability (Siphon of Destruction) has a 5-6 second cooldown. If he uses it, start harassing and count to 5. Rinse and repeat.

You can also call for ganks if his only escape (Flash/Ghost) is down.

Early game, just keep auto attack every so often and then use your spells
Early game his shield sucks, it can only take up 1-2 auto attacks
Just consistent damage will hurt him, if you keep taking down his shield he will want to use his spells to keep it up and since his spells cost health he will be hurting himself if he tries to keep shield up (this works before he farms up his revolver which means any level below 5 or 6 depending which items he started out with)

Teemo can work very well against him, too.

Fizz and any other champ with a built in ignite + the summoning skill ignite really messes morde up at all phases of the game. In the beginning almost all champs counter him. Mid game less then half of those champs counter him, late like I mention earlier champs like fizz only stand a chance. Then again this is vs a morde played focusing on damage/burst. Other types of morde die to almost anything at all phases including champs listed above.
