I do get yelled for this a lot, probably because carries and bruisers aren't supposed to waste gold on wards when no one else is, but I find myself doing it constantly and it's sometimes frustrating to find myself behind 200 gold on a Legendary Tier item like Frozen Mallet because I spent that gold on 5 or 6 wards.

If I am top as AD, I'll get a wriggles. If I am bottom lane, I almost always buy wriggles. If I'm mid I buy 1-3 wards every recall. Wriggles helps a lot early game with the AD carries I play (MF, Kog), which means I can drop a ward at dragon or blue buff. Wriggles helps even more top lane, because the support is no where near top lane most of the time, and it's generally an AD top, and the armor+sustain is insanely good. Mid lane doesn't need wards as much because of the shorter distance to the tower, but after level 6 I will almost always pick a few up. I also play champions like Kennen, Morgana, and Akali mid lane because I rarely play mid and like the safe picks, and they're kind of difficult to gank.
