KDR doesn't matter in a team game.

Of course, having your ELO gain be based around what your Champion's role is would be interesting, with assassins using KDR, but that's going the completely opposite direction as your idea so.

and that would mean if someone got fed early in a game everyone would surrender rather than risking trying to draw it out and eek out a win due to the fact that the fed player would be able to get kills you would also see people unwilling to sacrifice themselves to save a more valuable team mate like a tank taunting someone so the carry could escape or gain a kill every one would only look out for themselves and you would have your entire team fighting over the red and blue buffs as every champion is more likely to get kills with them. you would also see the game turn into 5 individuals running around on the same team playing entirely separate games
