Every time I start LoL, normally or by 'Run As Administrator', it crashes my router. Literally, starting the launcher cause my router to hard reboot. I have no idea where to go from here.

you sure you mean router and not computer???

If it is the router doing a firmware upgrade may resolve your problems.

however if that doesnt work then either buy a new router or get it replaced if the warranty is still valid.

It's a Westell 9100EM15. It's the Fios router/modem all in one. It seems to crash whenever the launcher starts downloading the patch, acording to the log files. Is it possible traffic from the server is crashing it? I read somewhere that someone had a problem with their router crashing from the NAT table being too small, is that possible?

Edit: I realized the patch is downloaded via P2P, not from a server. This may make the NAT table issue seem more plausible.

Click on Options and turn off Peer to Peer. The Peer to Peer uses a bit-torrent like connection that speeds up download and save bandwidth. However, some routers can't handle such a large amount of connections and completely die (talking from experience here). I would turn that off and see if it helps.

Does your router have any sort of logging information? We might get a better picture with that info.

Edit: I found this thread that might help. Try doing a hard reboot of the router by holding down the power button for 20 seconds:

See if there's any new firmware for your router. I'm seeing some stuff about older verizon routers doing the same thing, but a firmware update fixed it up.
