Today, while browsing the internet about the Ionians, I found out that a large part of the lore of this game may be from actual history. The original Ionians were Greek cities, later conquered by Persia (Noxus) In these times Persia was ruled by someone by the name Lord Darius. So they asked for help from Athens (Demacia). Athens sent in reinforcements to help Ionia but, they failed. So Lord Darius wanted revenge for the Athenians (Demacians) killing some of their people. This lead to the battle of Marathon where the Spartans (Rakkor/Pantheon's people) and the Athenians (Demacians) fought together against the Persians (Noxus) and emerged victorious. Anyway League of Legends actually teaches values of history, not just some made up tale. Also, if you find any other reference that the lore of League of Legends has in regards to history please tell me, and thanks for your time.

Except the Athenian governmental process doesn't resemble the one used by Demacia, nor did the persian one resemble Noxian government. = P

Yeah that is true I just looked it up and Demacia has a constitutional monarchy, where Athens had a democracy but the Noxian government is all about war and gaining more power just like the Persians were.
