You guys should give Torchlight a go!

I was looking up Diablo 3 and came across this game called Torchlight. I read a few reviews and it's gotten some really good ones and being called D2.5 and stuff. I tried it and it's a lot of fun with no real time commitment. Unfortunately it's only single player at the moment (the mmo version is 1.5-2 yrs down the road, but D3 will be out by then).

Tl;dr: Torchlight is a fun hack and slash dungeon crawler (a la Diablo series) that is well created, pretty polished, and fun.

It's pretty great. Just the demo has eaten up about 8~ hours of my life.

Torchlight that's being sold now is just to test ground and get some money home, Perfect World International, publishers of Torchlight, already paid Runic for the development of a free to play MMOARPG.

With games like Torchlight and League of Legends going the micro transaction route quickly undermines the misconception that free to play games are by default inferior to paid ones.

got the demo and i had a blast with it...ill probably buy the full game within a couple months. I gotta put more time in the games i have right now 1st (borderlands, demon soul's)

Torchlight is pretty sick, just played it for like 4 hours straight.

+ the mods for it are excellent for replayability.

Dragon Age coming in 13 hours on Steam. I can't say I will be doing much Torchlighting.

PS:

DAMN YOU STEAM for making games release at 12PM PST. Would 10AM have been all that hard?
