What was Varus' life like before his corruption? There was mention of his children in his league judgment, which means he must have also had a wife. Who were they?

So this passage in her lore: Throughout her youth in Ionia, Syndra's reckless use of magic terrified the elders of her village. They took her to a remote temple, leaving her in the care of an old mage. There's no mention of a family, shes just up and taken to a temple with no complications. And her attitude shows she has no attachment to anyone. Is Syndra an orphan?
